With all of the craziness that’s going on in our life right now (I’ll share the minute I’m able to – I promise!!) I’m all about simplifying this holiday season. No need for extravagant gifts or elaborate home décor. I usually tend to make things more difficult than I have to, and it usually doesn’t even matter! This year I’m working on keeping things simple, and like usual, thrifty!
Here’s a super simple & cute gift idea that could work really well for some people on your gift list. Think teachers, babysitters, coworkers, neighbors…
It looks like you spent more than $5, but if you do your shopping the right way, you should be able to spend under $5 for each of these gifts!
I did all of my shopping at Dollar General. I was surprised with the amount of CUTE holiday stuff they had – and how they really fit into my small budget:
I added my own little tags to personalize the gifts – and I have them at the bottom of this post so you can print them out and use them for your own gifts!
For each gift, I bought one of these adorable glass jars with a holiday print on the lid (for $1). I filled the jars with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Then I added a mug (just $1) and a cute ornament (also just $1). In the one above, I added a festive dish towel too.
These gifts are totally customizable. You can add homemade cookies…candy canes…potpourri…anything!!
As promised, here are the printable tags that you can use with your gifts this holiday season. Before you leave, make sure you Find more Dollar General Holiday Inspiration here!
